Chilliwack Flight Fest

The Canadian Museum of Flight was an active participant at the Chilliwack Flight Fest on August 21, 2010.

After the heat wave at the time of the Abbotsford Air Show, the following weekend was a contrast with grey skies and cooler, showery weather. However, the show went on with an enthusiastic response from the residents of the Fraser Valley and the aviation community.

CMF provided four of their fleet to meet the crowd at Chilliwack - the Waco AQC-6,
Tiger Moth, Fleet Finch and
Harvard II.

The air show was opened in style by the Canadian Forces Skyhawks.

This was followed by a steady stream of performances, such as Dave Mathieson and his Pitts biplane.

The Museum provided show goers with a close up view of their aircraft, including the replica
WW1 Sopwith Camel adjacent to their sales booth.
