Robert Bradford is one of Canada's most accomplished artists. His beautiful landscapes and skyscapes provide wonderful backdrops for his best-known subjects, Aircraft. Having spent his entire "working" life with aircraft, he knows them with an intimacy few can aspire to. From his days as an R.C.A.F. Pilot, to his days with the Easybuilt Model Aeroplane Co., to his long and distinguished career with Canada's National Aviation Museum, Robert Bradford knows aircraft, their feel, their smell, and their sounds. More important, he has the rare gift of being able to transfer that onto canvas.
Now retired from his position as Director of the Museum, he is stretching his canvas with renewed enthusiasm. He is presently painting a 1930's Bellanca Aircruiser and lithographs should be available this winter. This will be the first in his new Bush Pilot series. These dramatic, limited, autographed editions will be of great interest to collectors and enthusiasts alike. The knowledge and talent of Robert Bradford will ensure subjects which reflect a rare insight into the world of Canada's pioneer Aviator/Explorers and will be published by B.C.I.'s parent company Anvid MacBeaver Ltd. of Yellowknife, N.W.T.
